The Story
Allow us to introduce our unique creation — a handmade beanie spun from the soft undercoat of our Landseer dog, Vanya, who lives with us on the eco-friendly Isle of Wight.
Each spring and autumn, Vanya naturally sheds his fluffy undercoat, which we gently brush, wash and spin by hand into soft, warm yarn known as chiengora.

Material & Feel
This beanie is made entirely from Vanya’s wool, lightly twisted with a thin cotton thread for strength and structure.
The result is an exceptionally warm, breathable and lightweight texture — softer than traditional sheep wool, with a natural halo that gives it a gentle, luxurious look.

Comfort & Scent
Properly washed chiengora smells just like clean wool — no “wet dog” scent at all.
It contains no lanolin, making it suitable for those with sensitive skin.

Ethical & Sustainable
No shearing, no harm — Vanya’s wool is collected only through brushing during his seasonal shedding.
Each beanie is hand-spun and knitted with love, care and respect for nature.

 Care Instructions
   Hand-wash gently in cool water with mild wool detergent.
  Do not wring or tumble dry — simply press out the water and lay flat to dry.

 Every piece carries its own story — a memory of the Isle of Wight breeze, sea walks, and the quiet warmth of a happy dog’s coat.
